Sunday Special Recipe #3 : Goli Baje

1/2 Kg Maida
25 gms Ginger
25 gms Green chilly
5 gms  Jeera
25 gms Salt
½ tsp Cooking soda
375 ml Curds
50 gms Oil
Oil for deep frying


Cooking Method:
Mix all the ingredients except oil for frying and cooking soda and keep for 1 hour.
Just 5 minutes before frying add cooking soda and mix well.
Make lemon sized balls and deep fry.
Serve hot with Coconut chutney.

 I remember my youth when I hear of Goli Baje.! We friends used to go to Hotel Mithra Samaj at Temple Square in Udipi (Udipi became Udupi later).!! We order for Goli Baje and Masala Dosa. Goli Baje is always ready and hot. By the time we finish with it the Masala Dosa would be ready.!!!
