Moodubelle: Girl's NSS camp day 5 evening, games & programs

Moodubelle, 10 November 2013: The fifth day afternoon and evening session of the state level Girls NSS camp on Saturday 09 November 2013 comprised of various games competitions and then followed by cultural programs. The seven day long state level Girls NSS camp is going on at St. Lawrence P.U. College in Moodubelle.

 

In the morning at 07.00 flag hoisting was done by Meera Lobo – Former President of Parent Teacher’s Association. Chief guests on the occasion were Charles Quadros – President Belle C.A. Bank and Maxim D’Sa – Former President of ICYM Moodubelle.

 

After the campers returned from their visit to the war memorial and to the historical places in Kunjarugiri at 02.30 pm they had various games competitions. The competitions were conducted by Cyril Mathias – Head of English Department Milagres College Kallianpur. Various games such as blind folded game, gunny bag race and many other games.

 

The program was presided over by Rev. Fr. Vincent Cuelho – Principal of St. John’s P.U. College Shankarapura. Chief guests present on the dias were; Pradeep Badakilaya – Young Actor Bangalore, Helen Lobo – Manager of Moodubelle Charitable Trust, Alwyn Lobo – President of ICYM Moodubelle.

 

Speaking on the occasion Pradeep Badakilaya said that, we need to have confidence and faith in ourselves in order to become successful in our mission. We should always be determined and continue with our efforts and then it is possible to succeed, he said.

 

 

The evening cultural programs were conducted by the local educational Institutions such as Mahabhaleshwara Hindu Aided School Edmer, Vishnumurthy High School Kodibettu, St. Lawrence College Moodubelle and Nisarga Yuvaka Mandala Nalkubeedi.

 

The program was presided over by Rev. Fr. Lawrence D’Almeida C.S.C. – Parish Priest of St. Vincent De Paul Church Katpadi. Chief guests present on the dias were; Mark D’Souza – President of Spoorthi Friends Club Moodubelle and JCI Santhosh Kumar – President of JCI Moodubelle.

 

Other guests and dignitaries present on the occasion were; S.S. Shindha – Deputy Director of P.U. Section Dept of Education Udupi, P.K. Mohan Udyavar, Rev. Fr. Paul Sequeira – Principal of St. Lawrence P.U. College Moodubelle and Edward Larson – Camp Officer.

 

Speaking on the occasion Santhosh Kumar said that, the NSS training camp teaches us various aspects which can be adopted in our lives. It also helps us in our education, builds determination and discipline, he said.

 

Rev. Fr. Lawrence in his speech briefed on how we should visualize our life and our education. Training camps such as NSS helps us to systematically build our life. He wished every success to the students.

 

Savitha compeered the program. Chandana welcomed the guests and the gathering. Dhanyashree proposed vote of thanks. The cultural program concluded the evening program.
