Huge single stone for the idol of Madhwacharya

Kunjarugiri, 16 October 2012: Huge single stone of 32 feet high has been brought from Doddaballapura near Bangalore to Kunjarugiri for the establishment of single stone idol of Sri Madhwacharya at Sridurgadevi temple and Sri Parashurama temple. The stone left Doddaballapura 10 days ago and when it reached Kunjarugiri on Sunday evening Udupi Adamaru Seer Sri Vishwapriya Theertha Sripada welcomed it with Mangalarati.



Later in his asheervachana to the gathering Seer said that, when the huge idol is installed in this location where Sri Madhwacharya was going around during his childhood days, it will inspire all the devotees with the principles and thoughts of Sri Madhwacharya, he said.


In the program Palimaru Mutt Manager Balarama Bhat welcomed the gathering. Kalmanje Vasudeva Upadyaya proposed vote of thanks. Earlier more than 300 devotees welcomed the huge stone at Subhasnagar – Kunjarugiri cross welcome tower and brought it to Kunjarugiri in a grand procession. Mutt sources have said that the idol will be installed within one year.
